These delicate life-size butterflies are hand cut from watercolor paper and start life as cut outs and emerge from the page and fly off.
Their wings are molded and the butterflies are raised off the page as they fly away to get a truly 3d effect.
They are raised 5mm off the acid free mount which also appears to float and heightens the shadow play.
Their design means they can be framed with any side as top, turn it around for a different perspective, you can even have 2 identical works but hang one upside down.
Each artwork is 250 x 250mm or 9 inches square (framed).
